about

Music has always been a source of positivity in my life. It has helped me through the darkest times in my life and I see it as one of the purest forms of unity we have to help us share our human experience with others. I came up with this music project Pangaea as a way of illustrating the unifying power of sound and music. When we share our happiest moments with each other through music, we don’t even need to understand the words to connect. We can trust the vibe, the body language and our other senses to reassure us we are in a good place with good people.

From the release date on the 4th of September 2020 I gave all earnings from this EP during the rest of September 2020 to the following charities:

Musicians Without Boarders - (www.musicianswithoutborders.org/eng/our-work/programs/how-we-work/)
"Music is an integral part of human nature. It has the potential to connect and bring people together. We use music as a tool to alleviate the disastrous effects and causes of war and mass violence, collaborating with organizations and change-makers globally"

Black Minds Matter UK - (www.blackmindsmatteruk.com/our-mission)
"Our mission is to connect Black individuals and families with free mental health services — by professional Black therapists, specifically for Black trauma. To make this happen, we want to make mental health topics more relevant and accessible for all Black people in the U.K."

Imkaan - (www.imkaan.org.uk/about)
"Imkaan is a UK-based, Black feminist organisation. The organisation holds nearly two decades of experience of working around issues such as domestic violence, forced marriage and ‘honour-based’ violence."

Southall Black Sisters - (southallblacksisters.org.uk/about/)
"Southall Black Sisters, a not-for-profit, secular and inclusive organisation, was established in 1979 to meet the needs of Black (Asian and African-Caribbean) women. We are a group of black and minority women with years of experience of struggling for women’s human rights in the UK."
